About Me

inis-lovelyMy name is Inis Lovely. Yes, that is my real name. I’m a former TV producer whose current day job is putting together a monthly magazine for the Air Force. I love my job! I get to play with words and be creative in a fun office with fun people.

I like writing in my spare time, too. I won kudos and the grand prize in an international screenwriting contest a few years back (when my name was Inis Clubs). And, I recently self-published a beginner’s book on selling in an antique mall – a topic near and dear to my heart. I’ve got a novel and another screenplay in the works now.

Yarns and threads are another love of mine. I always have a project on the needles or on the hook. Throw in a little home design and decor and I’m a happy girl. Lot’s of interests, hmmm? That’s because I’m a flat out crazy woman who quite possibly has ADD ; )  Thanks for taking the time to visit.

I am trying to find pens made from silverware for my daughter’s wedding. When I googled it, your site
came up & I saw a picture of 5 pens. Do you have these for sale or do you know where I might find some?
I need about 10. Thank you for your help.

Dear Inis,
I came across the photo of the little dress pictured on your dress giveaway, and it looks just like the one I used to crochet as gifts 25 years ago. The pattern is long lost, and I’m now a grandmother who would give anything to be able to make them again for my 2 granddaughters – both turning 3. Do you know where I could find the pattern? It is such a beautiful little dress!

Patti Ann, I altered it a bit but the original pattern is in the may/june 08 issue of Crochet Today. It’s on page 68 and is called “flower baby”.

Thank you so much for the lead — looks like the pattern is for baby girls, but I could probably adjust the size. This is a great help – I’ll let you know how they turn out!

Hello Lovely,

I would have a question regarding one of the picture on your nice website:
http://alovelything.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/my-little-city-girl-coat.jpg

I just wanted to know if I could use this picture to make a photo shoot for creating a wedding card for my sister. I would swift the face of the girl with the one of my little nephew. Of course I would send you the result.

Thanks by advance for your return.

Best regards from France.

That picture belongs to My Little Little City Girl. You need to ask her to use the photo in that way.

Hey!

I read your article Legwarmers – Chic or EEK? and I really love those crochet lace leg warmers, the ones that are kind of nude coloured. I’ve been trying to find a pair to buy for my sister for Christmas! Can you help me? Do you have any idea where I could get a pair?

Thanks so much!

Shannon

Hi, I was reading over your leg warmer article and loved it! I wanted to know if you would kindly review my lacey leg warmers at my Etsy shop Luxey Leg Candy. I would be honored if you reviewed them. Thank you for your time and LOVE your blog!
Mandy
