French Beds: Which One Would You Choose?

What could be more sumptuous than a red velvet upholstered French bed? I have adored and coveted these European curvy, highly detailed beds. Just love them!
The Louis knockoff is gorgeous, too. Find a garage sale bed or two to cobble together, add carved wood details, paint the color you love and you, too, can have a magnificent French bed.

How about this gilded beauty? Love the tone-on-tone damask/toile fabric.
The zinc, gray color of this bed is super trendy right now. Love the curves, the feet and the taller headboard. Definitely a favorite of mine.
Imagine the caned bed ensemble painted in a cream or zinc color and then aged.
Oh la la! Cream, tufted and curvy.
Tight on space? Build in a custom sleeping alcove. Then, dress it in French red checked bedding.
Or opt for a modern take on the French iron bed. The canopy is just begging for a touch of fabric.
Who wouldn’t have sweet dreams in any of these lovely beds?

Oh LA LA…….love the white wood bed with all the wedding cake details and also the built-in with the red/white checked sheet. I could have some very sweet dreams in these beautiful beds.

These are gorgeous. I hope that Joni from Cote de Texas gets to see them. Do you have any suggestions on a brand and color similar to the zinc color?
Lee, I collect photos of things I love all the time. Not sure, but I believe that the zinc bed was a listing on The French Depot awhile back. Fair warning, The French Depot has drop dead gorgeous furniture
Thanks, Lovely. i just visited their site and am in total lust. In this age of downsizing and needing and using less, i suddenly want a 20 bedroom castle so we can have one of each.
I’m so happy to have found your blog.
Where did you find that bed that you said this about, “The zinc, gray color of this bed is super trendy right now. Love the curves, the feet and the taller headboard. Definitely a favorite of mine.”
I have been looking for a bed frame just like that but I don’t know what to call the style of the headboard and footboard curving around like that.
Great choices
Tessa, I believe that photo is one I saved in my wish list file. I think this bed was for sale at the French Garden House It’s the background that I now recognize behind their current photos.
Wow! Where did you get that photo? I really like it.
They’re all good specially the last one. I think I will be having a great dream in that bed.
Thanks for sharing this photos.
