Small Projects with Big Impact
Crochet has to be handmade. To date, no fancy schmancy machine has been devised that can duplicate it. That’s why any piece adds instant charm to a wardrobe or an interior.
Tree trunks for feet and rope for yarn, these amazing pieces can be coffee tables, footstools or (depending how strongly made) additional seating in a pinch. I would dearly love to see the size of the crochet hook used to make these.
Nothing fancy, really, about this collection of stools from Wood & Wool Stool. Find them at their website and on Etsy. The company is also responsible for last week’s inspiration of fiber covered hangers. Recycled wood covered with classic granny squares and ripples. Brilliantly simple and beautiful.
This all white version is my personal favorite.
Another fantastic project made from rope that serves multiple functions. Note the pot covers on either side. Again, I’d love to see the giant hooks used to create these. I wonder, too, if it’s a one person job.
At first glance, I thought this was a side table. A closer look at the size of the yarn and small stitches say otherwise, though. Wouldn’t be cool as a coffee table? I can just imagine it with a piece of glass.

Thanks for sharing about this lovely craft. I checked out her site and also found her neat blog. I have blankets made by my grandmothers that are just like these stool covers which is cool too.

I’m wondering if you have links to the footstools with the rope crochet. They’re great.
Amy, I’m sorry, I don’t. If I find it again, I’ll let you know
