Amen! I wish everyone who knows me thought this way! I love, crave and covet those special one of a kind finds and people who know me know this about me. But, alas, no one will shop for me this way. They all tell me the same thing – they have no confidence in their tastes which differ from mine and there are no returns at any antique malls/shops in our area. I don’t know if this is the same in other parts of the country, but if so, these places need to get onboard with a change in policy. It would increase their chances of sales, but I think they just don’t want to deal with the hassles of returns. Or, they could at least offer gift cards, which my area stores do not do either.

You are so right! I refuse to make a list every year (my husband’s family start swapping “lists” in October). I believe that gift giving is truly about “it’s the thought that counts”. There is nothing thoughtful about shopping at the mall in December or about a LIST!!
I heading to the antique mall this week and just maybe I will purchase some gifts (for me for sure).

Hallelujah! I second that emotion! Our antique mall did very well on Friday, I hear. Mostly smalls, and I suspect holiday decorative items, but unique gifts as well. In fact, a customer bought one of my vintage cameras for her photographer boyfriend. I was so pleased that it’ll go to a good home….
