A Lovely Thing has a new day job.  Hence, the lack of postings here lately.

I love, love, LOVE my new job. I get to write and play with graphic/publishing software all day and get paid a nice salary to boot.  Unfortunately, I use all my brain cells and creativity at work so that when I get home in the evening I just wanna veg out with knitting needles (or crochet hook) and watch TV.

You know how it is with a new job. You have to be on your game, remember a bazillion names and faces, and do kick ass work so that everyone is impressed and amazed with your prowess.   It’s exhausting I tell ya.

Old Lady Kitty ain’t liking the new schedule much.  The first week I would swear that she was giving me the cold shoulder as punishment for abandoning her all day, every day.  Even a pinch of cat nip wouldn’t soothe her ruffled fur or get her to purr.  Yep, Old Lady Kitty was pissed at me.

We’re both adjusting after three years of me working at home … in my jammies ’til noon … doing what I want when I want … like rubbing her belly and feeding her tuna on demand.

P.S.  Giveaway info here. I will do the old random number spiel and post the winner of August’s giveaway sometime this glorious three-days-off-in-a-row Labor Day weekend.  September’s giveaway, too, is yet to be announced.
