I love the legwarmer look ONLY when done in a less silly way. I hated it with workout gear, but then I started yoga, and the studio gets kinda cold, so I re-discovered them, but not with unitards or leotards. Yoga pants and a tank, thats fine… a tunic style shirt and stockings with skinny boots, fine, thigh high? not so fine. just below the knee, cute.

Luv, luv, Luv! the striped spat legwarmers and the matchy matchy pinky pinky!!! I too, am vintage, I wore them in the eighties and I’ll wear them again when I go out and shake a leg, lot of us still do. I like to be fashionable, not into the orthopedic look yet, ha ha. Don’t like the new ones though, rather make my own. How can I get these patterns?? please please

Actually the long sock/like leg warmers are quite fashionable with the teens. My 14 yr old daughter wears mismatched pairs with her skirts. I know there are some great sites out there with patterns for these but they are basically easy to make as well….just LLOOONNGGG socks. The arm warmers are also a big hit

My mom made me legwarmers for my freshman year at college (in Maine). Uh, didn’t last long. I was nearly laughed out of school. Please don’t bring them back!
