I got my first LP in the early 1970s. It was a Partridge Family album featuring my favorite song at the time, “I Think I Love You” . I played it over and over and over, and sang at the top of my lungs with my grade school friends.
It’s the musical memories that have us stash our vinyl in attics, closets and garages. We can’t bear to throw them away. How wonderful that these works of art are getting a replay by artist designer Brinda Kay.
Using every bit of the album – the fabulous cover graphics, the cover backs and the LP itself, Brinda creates purses to Hold Your Stuff. The bags are riveted together and varnished for long life. She adds special details to certain pieces.
On this Breakfast at Tiffany’s version, for example, sparkling rhinestones highlight Holly Golightly’s earrings and tiara. Gorgeous!
Visit Brinda Kay Designs both on Etsy and on 1000 Markets for a wide selection of musical eras. Each bag really is a work of art.
I plan on keeping an eye out for a Partridge Family bag
Heeeey, I think I love you …. ba ba ba.
