Convertible Shoes

in Blathering On, Good Ideas

Hurrah for innovation that clears space in my closet and/or my travel bag.  Clothes that serve more than one function get a thumbs up from me.  Shoes that morph like a Transformer get a double thumbs up.

Nat-2 has an amazing assortment of shoes that convert with just a zip or two.

These gold high tops unzip to a cool and comfy sandal.

4 in 1 stack by Nat-2The 4-in-1 stack is the most flexible foot ware I’ve ever seen.  This shoe goes from slide to low-top to high-top to boot.

The only problem I could find with the Nat-2’s is that they aren’t available in the US or Canada. Why not?  Hey, Nat-2’s, WHY NOT!!??

Convertible casual foot wear is great.  Convertible heels-to-flats foot wear is awesome.

What girl wouldn’t love these? Walk to work in flats, kick up the heel in the office. Kick up the heels at the party, lower to a comfortable level for the trip home. A British car insurance company called Sheila’s Wheels offered these pink heeled shoes for a time. I wish they were still available … and in the US.  A wise manufacturer would pick this up as a prototype.

Speaking of a prototype, industrial designer Marte den Hollander created a heel that transforms into a kitten heel.

I wish I knew, Laura. No one manufacturers these in the the US. Great market for some enterprising company!
