Genevieve Gorder was hands down my favorite designer on the old Trading Spaces.

I am so, so happy she’s on HGTV. Not only does she come across as a lovely person, her philosophy is close to my own – the home owner’s heart, life and soul needs to be included in every design.

Kudos to HGTV, too. I stopped watching the network because all the sell-my-house real estate shows were just a turn-off. Really – they may as well rename it The Realtor Network.  I want Joan Steffen back on Decorating Cents. I miss shows like Room by Room,  Country Style, Homes Across America and You’re Home. In fact, bring back Kitty Bartholomew. Then, give designers Barbara Sculati and Krista Crawford their own shows — they’re both fabulous!
