At the top of our tiny town home through the French Doors is our tiny town home bedroom.
A place to rest at the end of a day. Aaaahhh. Fluff the pillows and snuggle down with a good book — or a good magazine with good pictures
.
The quilt – and I use that term loosely — was made by moi about ten years ago. It is the first and last quilt I’ve ever made. As you can see it never quite got quilted. Lucky that it ever got to this stage — batting and a backing. Oh how I bow to the real quilters of the world.
Draped over the end of the bed, it serves as a soft place for old lady kitty AND protects the high priced comforter from old lady kitty hair.
Vintage Peters prints that, yes, were in my booth at American Classics once upon a time. The tags are still on these and they may one day be back in the antique mall.
The exquisite needle-pointed rose cushion, however, is mine. Mine, mine, mine. Love the colors. Love the delicate combination of needlepoint and petit-point. Love that it was only $8 at a thrift shop.
Straight off the bolt and simply knotted onto the doors, the lace came from my mother’s sewing room stash. She gave up sewing and her stash became my stash. Some quilting fabric is listed on Etsy — with more to come in the future.
It’s a modest bedroom filled with lovely items I adore. Isn’t that what home decorating should be?

French doors add so much, don’t they? What an entrance!
I love the design of your bedroom. It is so relaxing and clean.
Karla, they really do.
Jan, thank you. It is one room that seems to stay organized
