I Don’t Cook

0

Much to my husband’s chagrin, I don’t cook … very well.  Hey, he shoulda figured that out before he married me. :)    Oh I’ve tried over the years, and thrown out a dried-out, burnt pot roast or two in my time — such a waste of money (and gas for the oven)!  So, I’ve come to a self acceptance of my limited abilities in the kitchen.

For others who are in the same boat, I want to share a company I found that I LOVE! It’s called Home Bistro and boy oh boy do they help you fake it. LOL.

Yummy, easy and their samplers are pretty affordable. They’ve lowered shipping on all orders to $9.95

*Full disclosure: If you click through from my blog to purchase, they give me a small commission.

Now, I don’t make these everyday. I get Hormel meals (what I call “nuke-a-meals”) and pizza and those Tyson chicken fillets to fill in. Here’s a good I DON’T COOK recipe for those chicken fillets.
Quick and Easy Chicken Parmigiana
Microwave one Tyson Chicken Fillet per person (make sure you get the fillets – they’re in the pouches in the frozen food area)
Cook some linguine or spaghetti (look, if I can boil noodles, so can you!)
Microwave your favorite ready-made sauce
Assemble it on the plate in layers:  Pasta, a ladle or two of sauce, chicken.
Shave a little parm cheese over the top.

Viola, chicken parmigiana in 15 minutes or less – depending on how fast you call boil water. And, no burnt meat!
