Antique Mall Space — Done …

4

… well, done for now ;)    A space like this is kind of like laundry, never ever ending!

western area

The guy across the aisle from me specializies in western gear — authentic western gear which I know NOTHING about. But, I do stock a few “cutesy” items like the cowboy rubber duckies and signs to blend with his stuff a bit.

An old mixing bowl fits right in, don’t you think?

As you go around, the back corner is sort of a garden area — books, magazines, old pots.

vintage lunch trays

One of my favorite finds are these vintage childrens’ lunch trays. I imagine the girls liked them — the boys not so much. Hopefully, boys had a different scene.

I don’t know what to call the center area — it’s just a bit of everything.
dishrack
The Brock pieces, below, have been with me for a time now.  I know, just KNOW, that someone somewhere would love the two huge platters and the cute as a button condiment set — even the spoon is still intact and with the set.  So, I’ll hang on to it another month or so and then try online.  If you know a collector, send ‘em my way.

Of course, every space has to have a fru-fru area with girly-girl stuff! The left back corner is mine. A hanging mannequin holds old purses.

Then we’re back to the front — left side here. See the before of the black table in this post. And a peek at the old booth here.

If you compare and contrast, you’ll see that I’m pretty light in the booth right now. I had a good couple of months and, while I have some new reproduction items to fill in — I really need to get back out there scouting for old goodies.

November 2007 was the last auction I went to! Can you believe it?  My husband sure can’t. ;)

  1. GARAGE SALE GAL08-18-2008

Love your booth :) . Think I should go and do some re-arranging in mine. Love the butterflies, flowers, HATE the spider..sorry :(
I know God made them, I just don’t want them by ME. :) All I can think about is that darn spider, I’d better go look at the butterflies again :)
    Warmly, Deb

You have great stuff. It is never ending, and a lot of work…but fun too!

  3. A Lovely Thing08-18-2008

@garage sale gal — I’m not a great fan of spiders either, especially big furry ones! However, I’ve heard that spiders that live in sunshine in the garden are harmless. It’s the ones that live in dark, dank places that are dangerous. It may just be an old wives tale … who knows!

@pedalpower — it is a lot of fun and gives me a great excuse to go shopping all the time.

I think it looks great, and I love the Brock platters, although I have no use or place to display them. Bummer.
