old kodak digital

… Er … I mean business tool. :)

<~~~ This is the old dinosaur Digital I’ve been using.  Supposedly it has a macro setting, but the close ups are terrible — not good enough for an online store.
new camera
Professional people need professional tools.  So, we got this brand spanking new Canon Rebel.  ~~~~~~~~~>
My husband is a semi-pro photographer and has a multitude of lenses that he uses for his professional film cameras. When we discovered that those lenses work on the Rebel, too, it was a no-brainer.
I was playing around with it a bit this morning and took some fresh macros of the Christmas in July Giveaway items.  Look at the detail! The cracks in the ornament, the plastic on the floral frog, the texture on the shells! Absolutely NO enhancement on these photos. Amazing!
Love it, love it, love it! Just what I wanted — I mean, needed for the business.  Next time I’ll not be lazy and set up the tripod. There’s a bit of camera shake. I suppose the 4 cups of coffee I’ve had today may have something to do with that, too.  LOL.

Thank you, so much for the feedback on this blog.  Ya’ll are making me feel like an expert or somethin’.  A few folks have asked for info to create a three-column blog in blogger. I will make it my mission to put together a post/tutorial, complete with screen shots to help you. Look for it next week!
