I have an account with LinkShare.com — though I don’t use it much. Maybe I should — earn a little spending money from the blog.
But really, I’d rather shop Indie myself and encourage others to shop Indie as well.

But when this landed in my email in box, I was just so charmed. Isn’t it the cutest thing? All bright and cheery, a slice of flower pie. I wish, wish, wish my birthday was in the summer so someone would send me one – LOL. Oh well. I’m going to send one to my BFF next month.

I agree about shopping indie. The Internet has become such a huge tool for the cottage craft industries and we are seeing such a growth of femal-owned home businesses that I encourage this on my blog as well.
I am not a professional crafter, nor am I selling anything, I just feel like something I can do in my small way is encourage these creative people and get their ideas out there.
I have taken the “Handmade Pledge” for all of my gift-giving this year, whether I buy online or from local artists. I also have a left-hand column section featuring some indie craft sites.
That is super cute!
