We visited A Paris Street Market this past Saturday. The market runs every first Saturday of the month May through October in Littleton, Colorado.
We were late and by the time we got there, the French baker dude was out of egg croissants. I’ll explain why we were late at the end of this post.
But first, pictures of just a few of the goodies I saw.
This pink and black French inspired dresser caught my eye. The camera didn’t capture the pink very well, but it was a very soft color. A great idea for those old 1970′s bad Provencal wannabe pieces of furniture.
Aren’t these painted child rockers just adorable? What child wouldn’t want to sit in these colorful chairs?
Wind chimes made from old teapots, sugar bowls and what not. Flatware hammered flat made great sounding chimes, too.
Here’s a great idea for old windows that I hadn’t seen before — a fabulous corner shelf. Used as a small room divider — it would break up space without closing it in.
These painted Dr. Scholls sandals are TO DIE for! Hands down the most creative thing I saw.
The felted hat as lampshade charmed my knitter heart. This creative seller added some beads and a fancy finial, too.
So, back to why we were late and missed out on my favorite Paris Street Market breakfast. We live in Colorado Springs and make the trek to the Denver area for great venues such as these.
We stopped in Castle Rock to get coffee refills and go potty before hitting the market.
Well, when we attempted to re-start the car to get going again, it was dead. Just dead — no whir, whir noises like it was trying to start. Just a click and nothing. My husband maintained that it was the battery. The fine folks at the gas station let us use their jump start machine and sure enough it started.
Not wanting to take any chances, we drove a block or so to the Midas there in Castle Rock. Crissy, the FEMALE manager, had it checked out and found all it needed was a battery recharge. No idea why it was dead as the alternator and belts were all fine.
She had us out the door in 30 minutes — get this, AT NO CHARGE! Which reminds me … I want to call or email Midas to commend Crissy for a job well done. My husband has vowed to drive up there the next time he needs brakes just because they’re so honest and fair.
What’s up next weekend? Well, it’s a toss up between the Ballpark Market in downtown Denver and Old Glory Country Fair in Littleton.
Hmmmm. Wonder if I can make both?
I could do Old Glory on Friday, stay the night and hit Ballpark Saturday morning. Do you think that’s excessive?

Okay, I just LOVE that idea with the old windows!!! So creative!! I’ve been on the lookout for old windows for a year now, but I’ve had no luck yet!! Now I have an idea of what to use them for that is unique when I do find them.

That looks like so much fun!!
We’re headed to Co Sps in a few weeks for vacation.
Woodland Park, actually… we have a cabin up there so we try to go out every summer.
Isn’t it wonderful to run into good samaratins! And to get the car to the flea market!
