Indoor Rose Garden

INDOOR ROSE GARDEN

6

A Cottage Industry is hosting the 2008 Summer Garden Tour. Such a lovely idea and I can’t wait to see all the photos. Alas, poor pitiful me sold her garden last year — and I do so miss it.

I’ve been invited to participate in the tour even though I’m limited to pots on the patio. I always, always wait until after Memorial Day before putting out annuals … Colorado is known to get snow in May … so I’ve been impatiently patient in visiting the garden center.

But, who says gardens can only be outside? I have a rose garden right on my mantel. Just dried roses snipped short as well as a touch of dried baby’s breath pushed gently into oasis with a bit of moss to cover — I call it an impressionist’s meadow.

Tucking in garden rocks with engraved messages adds the touch of whimsy I was going for. So, although my garden was sold with the house … I’ll always have my roses.

I love this idea! I live in an apartment with no place to have a traditional garden. I think your indoor garden is very pretty. I especially love the idea of the engraved rocks!!

Love the dried rose garden, and of course the rocks are great! I am not “allowed” to garden per my doctor, as I’ve had 2 bone marrow transplants, but I could do something like this, I think! Thanks for the inspiration!

Beautiful idea! No matter where you live or how small your space is there is always room for a little garden somewhere.
