GIVING UP THE GOOD STUFF

0

Clicking on links and more links, I came across a wonderful blog called Fresh Vintage. The lovely mermaid glasses caught my eye. How on earth, I thought, can she ever part with those!? They’re fabulous!

There in lies my problem with being in the stuff business. I want to keep it all, every single beautiful treasure that I lay my eyes and hands on.

One would think that it would get easier to part with things as one gets more experienced. But, no. Regret often reins supreme. Take these fabulous doorknobs that I sold on eBay some time ago.

Putting them in the mail was tough. I should have put them on my OWN doors, dang it!

Alas, one can’t keep everything — at least I can’t. Aside from the real need to earn a living, there’s the fact that I live in a 1500 sq.ft. townhouse with a very small garage and no real storage space.

So, trying to look at the bright side, I’m fortunate to be in this business and be surrounded by treasures every single day — even if those treasures must find a new home.
