One thing I dearly miss about being out of the television business is knowing about all the new shows far, far in advance. May – June is UPFRONT season … when networks announce their schedules and give TV industry people a peak at the new shows.
Well, I still subscribe to some TV newsletters where I found out about Debbie Travis’s new show. Actually, it’s been airing in Canada for a year, but it’s new to US viewers!
It’s called From the Ground Up and will be on Fine Living. The first show is June 1.

Debbie Travis has fourteen wannabe designers vying for the job of assistant to her. She of course will put them through the ringer I’m sure!
I love Debbie Travis’s shows because I seem to learn quite a bit from her. She explains why she’s doing what she’s doing. Plus, she seems to have an awesome sense of humor.
I have to remember to set the Tivo for this one!
Oooh, so good to know. I am such a fan of her and can’t wait to be inspired again!

I will definitely have to check this out. Thanks for the info.
I was so looking forward to this and what a disappointment! First, Debbie’s ego is out of control. Some of the statement’s she made about herself and getting this “job” were way over the top. Second, I did not find any of these designers of interest (thier first project) except maybe 2. Third, there are so many commercials I wanted to pull my hair out. Bring back Debbie doing something herself.
