DIAMONDS & RUST
Florence, Colorado is a quaint southern Colorado town a short detour off Highway 50 on one’s way to the world famous Royal Gorge – an acrophobia’s worse nightmare. Antique shops line both sides of bustling Main Street. It’s no wonder the town bills itself as the Antique Capitol of Colorado.
Well, there’s a new antique shop in Florence. My friend Juli and her husband Ron have opened Diamonds & Rust.
You’ll find Diamonds & Rust at 106 W. Main – on the corner of Pikes Peak Ave. As fate would have it, the couple took over the primo location from DJ’s Fiber, a yarn shop that I just adored, too.
Set on the creaking hardwood floor (love that sound of old shops!) was Juli’s latest offerings. She’s the main shopper of the couple and has always had an eye for the best. Happily, she didn’t disappoint!

I wish Juli and Ron great success with Diamonds and Rust.

looks like a great place. I love that sofa.
I love that photo of historic Florence, Colorado. I’m guessing that was taken around 1946 maybe?
Isn’t it great? I’m not an expert, but, judging by the cars, I think you’re right.
