Crocheted lace is my first love. While I enjoy making afghans and scarfs, I most treasure the lace pieces that I create. It’s like magic, these pieces of thread and string go looped together to form absolute beauty.
Vintage lace created by women who have gone before me get equal admiration and respect. Vintage linens, in general, always catch my eye at tag sales. Lace has a special place in my heart.
It’s the feminity of something so delicate. The way light plays through the eyelets of curtains and hats – as in the hat and gloves pictured. I hope to someday find the pattern for this set.
As I cherish vintage lace and the pieces made by my grandmother, I hope that my crocheting will someday become family heirlooms. Perhaps that is the very self-absorbed reason I love to crochet lace!

It’s wonderful. I wanted to learn the scheme of the gloves or if you please tell me the details.
Thank you very much
Mediha, I am still looking for this pattern, too.
