So, here they are – my very first official pair of hand knitted socks. The first came out too big – too long for my foot. So, I decreased the number of rows for that section of the pattern.
Wouldn’t you know it, the second one came out too small. LOL. Not only did I decrease rows, but my tension got tighter on the second sock.
Oh boy, what a pain in the rear. It’s the same problem I have with crocheting, actually. As I work on a project, my stitches get tighter. With crochet, I just go up a needle size after a few rows. I may have to do this for knitting, too.
But, I’m not discouraged. I’m on to my second pair in red. The yarn, again, is acrylic, but it seems to be a better quality. I’ll report back after I try them on.

I always have the second sock problem too! (or second sleeve or left and right side size issues) I would suggest that you try two socks at once! I have used both the “magic loop” method and the 2 socks on 2 needles (circular) and have had perfect success on both socks and sleeves the same size. There are so many videos and helps online now that can get you started. Good luck!
