PROJECT ABANDONED

in Knitting

Well, this project is a bust. I decided to join a few of my throw squares to see what they’ll look like combined. And, I just don’t like it! It could be my beginner joining skills or it could be that putting just these 8 together took all evening ;)

Seriously, it looks nothing — I think — like the picture at Lion dot com. It’s so pretty, but my leaves don’t look like anything like the example.

I am so very glad I took the time to put a few of these squares together before making all 48 of them! But I feel sort of like a quitter — It’s rare that I don’t finish a project I start. Nevertheless, I’ve decided to cut my losses and move on.

But first, I’ll crochet two flowers/roses — one for the center of each panel — then, join these two panels for a pillow. At least some of my work won’t go to waste!

Now, I need a new pattern for the rest of this yarn — preferrably a pattern that’s done all as one piece ;)
