Crocheting curtains is a great way to enjoy your hobby and display all your hardwork WITHOUT risking the beautiful lace you created. Unlike a doily or a tablecloth, no one will ever spill red wine on a curtain ;) The rose pattern above has seen many lives. At first, it was the topper to a simple burgundy shower curtain in our guest bath. Next, it lived as a decorative lamp shade on a floor lamp. Finally, here it is gracing our master bath window.

The lovely floral crinkle curtains to either side (they started out much more crinkled) came from World Market. Unfortunately, this window faces south. The hot sun is fading the curtains — but NOT the cotton hand crocheted work of art valance ;)

Another valance graces our master bedroom window — with more of the floral panels.

What can I say? I enjoy looking at my handy work. Of course, I’ve made doilies and afghans, but after several years of use, those items get worn — or stained. These curtains have a long life ahead of them. They’ll probably out live ME!
