THE BEGINNING

by Lovely on February 8, 2007

An aunt attempted to teach me how to knit when I was about 12. It didn’t take. Part of the problem, I believe, was that I had learned how to crochet first and going from one needle with a hook to two slicker-than-snot needles.

My first real crochet project (I’ll add a photo when I get a chance) was a lapghan (only it wasn’t called a lapghan back then).

While I’ve been a hooker my entire life, I picked up a pair of knitting needles just last year, after watching several episodes of KNITTY GRITTY on DIY. It just looked like something I could do, something I would enjoy doing.

So, travel along with me as I go from amateur to pro. This should be fun … and FUNNY!
